Powerball player wins $1 million prize. Where in the US was the lucky ticket sold?
A Powerball player in Michigan won $1 million, just missing the $250 million jackpot, lottery officials say.
The ticket matched five winning numbers but not the Powerball in the drawing Monday, July 14, the Michigan Lottery said.
The lucky ticket was purchased online, the lottery said. Another ticket sold in Michigan won $50,000 by matching four winning numbers and the Powerball.
A Powerball player in Arizona won $2 million, lottery officials said.
Nobody won the grand prize, which rises to an estimated $264 million, with a cash value of about $119.7 million, for the next drawing Wednesday, July 16, the national Powerball site said.
The winning numbers July 14 were 8, 12, 45, 46 and 63 with a Powerball of 24. The Power Play multiplier was 2x.
More than 365,000 other Powerball tickets sold in the United States also won prizes ranging from $4 to $100,000, the lottery said.
The Powerball jackpot was last won May 31, when a California player hit the $204.5 million grand prize.
