A man demanded free food from a McDonald’s drive-thru worker. When she refused, Oklahoma police said he walked into the back of the restaurant and threatened her.

Braylin Townsell got upset at the worker after being denied outside and asked for the manager’s cell phone number on June 21, according to Tulsa police. The employee also refused this request.

The man left the drive-thru and went into the back of the restaurant to confront the employee, police said in a June 23 news release.

“He lifted his shirt to reveal a pistol and again demanded the owner’s or manager’s cell phone number,” officers said.

Townsell told the employee he knew her and that he would send people “after her,” among other threats, police said.

The man grabbed cookies and fries from the back of the McDonald’s, then ran out of the restaurant and into a car with another man and woman, according to police.

A police helicopter later spotted the vehicle parked in the backyard of a residence. Officers detained two people when they tried to flee.

Townsell, who was inside the home, tried to climb out of a second-story window to escape, but he saw officers and was arrested, according to police.

He is held in jail on charges of possession of a firearm, breaking and entering, robbery, threatening a violent act and larceny, according to Tulsa County Jail records. His bail was set at $65,000.
