A man won big after buying a $3 instant ticket while running errands, Arkansas officials said.

The Pulaski County resident who bought the 10X Cashword instant ticket in Little Rock had no idea the ticket was carrying a $75,000 prize, according to a June 5 news release by the Arkansas Lottery.

“I was excited for sure,” he told officials.

The man bought the ticket while running errands, when a “spur-of-the moment decision” caused him to enter the convenience store, officials said.

Although he plays the lottery occasionally, the lucky winner said he doesn’t have a favorite game.

“I play whatever I feel,” he told lottery officials. “Whatever moves me!”

As for what he’ll do with the winnings, the lucky man plans to throw it into savings, officials said.

Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.

If you or a loved one shows signs of gambling addiction, you can seek help by calling the national gambling hotline at 1-800-522-4700 or visiting the National Council on Problem Gambling website.
