A cool surprise you wouldn’t expect is in the garage of this home for sale. See it
Home owners, especially those who adore entertaining, often find a way to turn an empty space — like an attic, basement or flex area — into a mirthful place where they can socialize. Like flipping it into a bar or game room.
Well, one house in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, decided to take it a step further with a … skate park?
Yes, it’s true. And yes, it’s for sale.
“Polish flat-style duplex with a newer construction lower 2 bedroom unit with open kitchen/living area and generous bedroom sizes,” the listing on Zillow describes. “Main & upper floor unit is a 2-level 4 bedroom, 2 bath unit with ample living space and a large kitchen and hardwood floors. Rare private driveway allows for parking to drive more revenue and then there’s the garage.”
The photos in the listing show the entire space is dedicated to hardcore skateboarders — provided they don’t hit their head on the ceiling, supposedly?
“You have to see it to believe it. Rented for private 3rd party use for an extended period, it is truly one-of-a-kind and provides an additional $225/mo in rents,” the listing notes.
The inside of the house, which is listed for $405,000, is a bit more down to earth.
The residence was highlighted on the popular real estate Facebook page, Zillow Gone Wild, a page that is dedicated to featuring unique houses up for sale around the country. People were a little flummoxed by what they saw.
“That would be a rad ball pit!” one person said in the comment section of the garage photo.
“No way! That’s so rad! I want that house now and can’t wait to carve up my own skate park!” another commented. “Wait, what am I saying? I’m 60 and haven’t ridden a skateboard in 15 years, or in a skate park nearly 40. Does the house include a medical recovery room with traction equipment?”
“Shouldn’t the ceiling be a bit higher?” someone asked.
“I would fill it with pillows and make it a chill spot,” another offered.
