Landlord hid camera in home to get naked photos of tenant, NH cops say
A 70-year-old landlord was arrested after being accused of hiding a camera in a tenant’s living space, New Hampshire officials said.
The investigation revealed that over the course of four years, Charles McGuire was recording his tenant through a camera hidden in a smoke detector in the home, officials told WMUR.
He had recorded her without consent and had over 9,000 images of her and other potential victims in different stages of nudity, according to an April 15 Facebook post by Amherst police.
McGuire was charged with falsifying physical evidence, stalking and 45 counts of invasion of privacy, officials said.
Investigators ask anyone who visited the residence at 30 The Flume during the last several years to call 603-673-4900, officials said.
Amherst is about a 30-mile drive southwest of Concord.
