A late-night parachute jump by two men off a Pennsylvania high-rise is now being investigated by local authorities, police say.

The two men, whose identities are unclear, trespassed into the 1 PPG Place building around 4:45 a.m. on April 9 before making their way to the rooftop, according to the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police.

The 40-floor building is considered the “crown jewel of the Pittsburgh skyline.”

Police said the pair then jumped off the building using parachutes. They are seen in surveillance footage landing onto the ground below.

The men then entered a black pickup truck and left the scene, police said.

Officers said in an April 15 news release they are “actively investigating” the incident, though many people are hoping the base jumpers don’t receive harsh penalties.

“Sounds like fun they chose to jump off a tall building to have fun, let them they’re not drinking and driving,” one person commented. “They’re not shooting somebody. They’re not selling drugs just base jumping.”

“This is really something we are worried about spending tax dollars on?” another commenter said. “Catching people that parachuted from a building? Priorities……???”

Police did not say if the two men could face charges.
