Police in Michigan have identified the bodies found in a freezer late last year as the parents of a man who died months earlier.

In November, a person called 911 and reported there was blood on the floor of an apartment, according to WILX. Then, police found the two bodies in a freezer.

The two have been identified as 76-year-old Susan Barbara Weerawat and 72-year-old Pramort Weerawat, according to an April 11 news release from the East Lansing Police Department.

Police say the couple’s son is a suspect but because of the condition of the bodies “the cause and manner of death will be classified as undetermined.”

The 37-year-old man died by suicide near Detroit in July, according to officials.

The medical examiner is working to complete an autopsy.

An investigation is ongoing, and police ask anyone who has talked with the Weerawats or their son in the last 10 years to email Det. Jason Cotton at jcotton@cityeastlansing.com.
