A UPS employee stole dozens of handguns from the shipping facility where he worked, Minnesota police said.

The man, who was not identified by police, took 27 guns from the facility, but officers have only recovered eight of them, the Minneapolis Police Department said in an April 7 Facebook post.

Nineteen guns are still missing, investigators said.

The worker was arrested at Mystic Lake Casino in Prior Lake, police said. At the time of his arrest, he had narcotics and thousands of dollars on him, according to officers.

The man is facing narcotics and weapons charges, according to police. He is being held in Hennepin County Jail.

Police said they partnered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to search for the missing firearms.

Prior Lake is about a 25-mile drive southwest from Minneapolis.
