A gambler bet a dollar and some change on a slot machine in Las Vegas and scored a big prize.

Now, the player is $28,328.66 richer.

The local visitor went to Boulder Station Hotel & Casino, the casino said in a March 26 Facebook post.

The player bet $1.76, hit spin and watched as the symbols flashed across the screen.

Then a jackpot message appeared.

“A big high five to our fortunate local guest who placed a bet of $1.76 on Dancing Drums and danced their way to a whopping jackpot of $28,328.66,” the casino said in the post.

Another gambler recently won a slot machine prize at the same casino.

The player bet $1.50 on a Genie’s Wheel machine and won $10,522.56.

Boulder Station Hotel & Casino is about a five-mile drive east from the Las Vegas Strip.

Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.

If you or a loved one shows signs of gambling addiction, you can seek help by calling the national gambling hotline at 1-800-522-4700 or visiting the National Council on Problem Gambling website.
