Three girls were rescued from a raging stream in Hawaii as water rose around them, according to officials and video from the incident.

The girls — described as juveniles became stuck Jan. 26 in Iao Stream on the island of Maui, the Maui County Fire Department said in a Facebook post.

They weren’t able to move off a rocky outcropping in the middle of the fast-moving water, and they were lifted to safety with help from a helicopter, officials said.

They weren’t hurt.

A fire department video shows one of the girls on the rocks as water crashes all around. A rescuer dangling from a helicopter is lowered down to grab the girl and deliver her to safety, the video shows.
