An accused drunk driver led authorities on a slow-speed chase in a Jeep with only three wheels, Ohio police said.

Officers working the night shift Nov. 22 noticed the Jeep was weaving in and out of marked lanes and was missing its front passenger tire, according to a Nov. 25 news release from the Elyria Police Department.

Police attempted to pull the 55-year-old driver over, but the man refused to stop and led police on a slow-speed pursuit for over 2 miles, authorities said.

Police were eventually able to stop the vehicle and and arrest the Lorain man, the department said.

He was charged with operating a vehicle impaired, driving under suspension, failure to comply, unsafe motor vehicle, and reckless operation, according to police.

The driver was booked at the Lorain County Jail on a $5,000 bond, records show.

Elyria is about a 30-mile drive southwest from Cleveland.
