“I normally only buy $1 or $5 tickets, but I splurged and bought a $10 ticket,” he told lottery officials.
The man said that when he got home, he scratched the ticket and “shed tears of joy” over how much he won.
The man hit the jackpot of $1 million, according to the lottery.
“My wife scanned it with her Michigan Lottery app three times to make sure it was real,” the man said. “Whenever I buy a ticket, I’m always hoping to win big, and I still can’t believe it really happened.”
