Man buys lottery ticket on cigarette stop — and wins big. ‘Something just told me’
The urge to purchase a lottery ticket came over an Arkansas man when he stopped for cigarettes at a Tobacco Station.
“Something just told me to buy tickets,” he told lottery officials. He purchased two $1,000,000 VIP Club tickets at the shop because of their potential prize options.
“There are two more prizes out there—someone has to win,” he told his daughter when selecting his ticket.
The man from Camden turned out to be one of the two winners — scratching off a ticket with a $1 million prize, according to lottery officials.
“I just went to crying,” he said. Then, he told his wife and daughter about the good news.
He plans to use the money to “build his future,” lottery officials said. He’ll be hiring a financial adviser and planning to help their kids with their retirement.
Camden is about a 100-mile drive southwest from Little Rock.
