A man shot his younger sister to death as she was getting into her car after work, California police said.

Adrienne Johnson, 45, was found inside her car on Sept. 11 with multiple gunshot wounds outside a business in the Airport neighborhood, Riverside police said in a Sept. 15 Facebook post.

Johnson was getting into her car when her brother David Johnson, 51, pulled up behind her, got out and shot her several times, then fled, police said.

Police didn’t say what led to the shooting.

David Johnson was arrested on Sept. 13 and booked on a murder charge into the Robert Presley Detention Center, where he’s being held without bail, police said.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call 951-353-7135 or 951-353-7104.

Riverside is about a 50-mile drive east of downtown Los Angeles.
