A man accused of breaking into a day care was found naked and bloody after Pennsylvania authorities say he jumped from a second-floor window.

Lower Chichester Township Police officers were dispatched to Sonrise Christian Day School in Linwood on Thursday, Aug. 22, when a 911 caller reported an “intoxicated subject” trying to break into the building, according to a news release.

The man, later identified as 18-year-old Saheir Badel Sadler-Chandler, was armed with a pair of scissors as he was trying to force his way inside the lobby of the day care, police said.

When the first responding officer arrived, the officer found clothing scattered across the lobby, according to police. They belonged to Sadler-Chandler, who police said had stripped naked after entering building.

The officer followed the man before hearing the sound of glass breaking on the second floor, police said.

“Once upstairs, the officer found a large broken window and discovered that the subject had leapt from the 2nd floor of the building,” authorities said.

Sadler-Chandler was later found in traffic naked and covered in blood, police said. The man, who police said was “obviously injured” as he was “bleeding from numerous areas,” was taken into custody.

While being taken to a hospital, he spat blood and saliva on medical workers, according to police.

Authorities said Sadler-Chandler was charged with 51 counts each of simple assault and reckless endangerment. He also faces charges of burglary, criminal trespassing, vandalism and more.

It’s unclear if any children were inside the day care at the time of the incident.

Linwood is about a 20-mile drive southwest from Philadelphia.
