Senior cat is ‘a cure for all life’s woes’ — and needs a new home after owner died
A snugly senior cat is in need of a loving home after her owner died, according to an Arizona animal shelter.
The sweet cat lives up to her name, not her tortoiseshell coat coloring, The Humane Society of Sedona said in a July 14 post on Facebook. “Torties” are sometimes known for being sassy and diva-like.
“You’re not gonna find a sweeter cat than Panacea! This senior babe is all tortie, no tude!” the shelter said in the post. “Panacea is 9 years old and is every ounce of her namesake — a cure for all life’s woes!”
Video shows Panacea snuggled into a staff member’s lap and slow blinking toward the camera.
“She obviously loves people — a lap cat through and through,” the shelter said. “Panacea gets along with other kitties, including her sister, Jessie who is also here at the shelter.”
The cats went to the shelter when their human died, the shelter said.
“While they love each other, they are not bonded, but it would be lovely if they went to a home together since they’ve been together for quite a while,” the shelter said.
Those who are “ready to welcome a senior or two” into their home should call the shelter at 928-282-4679 to make an appointment between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
