‘Blind stargazer.’ Kitten born with no eyes has a new home to spread love. Meet Stern
A kitten with a huge heart and no eyes in Ohio has found a loving home she can spread her boundless joy to.
Her name is Stern, and the blind, 13-week-old tabby was born with no eyes, Jefferson County Humane Society and Jefferson County Animal Shelter posted on their Facebook on June 25. The shelter even shared some adorable images of Stern just living her best life.
“‘A blind stargazer sees the light with her heart,’” the post quoted.
“From the moment she came into our care, we knew she was special. Born without eyes, Stern has known darkness for as long as she can remember, navigating her world with incredible courage and strength.”
Stern doesn’t let her blindness get in the way of her world, however. The shelter says she has “a remarkable spirit” and is not shy when it comes to her voice.
“Stern is incredibly vocal, using her meows to communicate and tell you what she needs. She is a testament to the power of resilience and love, and she is ready to share her heart with a family who will cherish her unconditionally,” the shelter says.
The post was updated with an alert that happily announced Stern has a new home, and people in the comment section were overjoyed.
“She is a total sweetheart,” one person said.
“How wonderful,” another noted.
“So happy she got a furrever home,” someone commented.
The Jefferson County Humane Society is in Wintersville, which is about a 45-mile drive west of Pittsburgh.
