A man was arrested after Wisconsin police say he dragged a woman into a hotel room and assaulted her.

The hotel manager called 911 after a guest said they saw a man drag a woman down a hallway and into a room on June 22, according to an incident report from the Madison Police Department.

Officers spoke with the 23-year-old man and the woman, whose age was not released, and discovered she had been “held against her will,” according to the release.

The woman was also battered, police said.

The man is charged with domestic battery, disorderly conduct, suffocation and false imprisonment.

McClatchy News is not naming the man to protect the identity of the woman.
