Powerball player just misses $73 million jackpot — but still wins big in Ohio
A Powerball ticket sold in Ohio won $1 million and narrowly missed the $73 million jackpot, lottery officials say.
The ticket matched five winning numbers but not the Powerball in the drawing Saturday, June 22, according to the national Powerball site.
Nobody won the grand prize, which rises to an estimated $84 million, with a cash value of $40.4 million, for the next drawing Monday, June 24, lottery officials said.
The winning numbers were 4, 5, 15, 32 and 62, with a Powerball of 21, the Ohio Lottery said.
A $1 million ticket also was sold in Virginia, the national site said.
