Waterfront house for sale in Ohio has people ‘very confused.’ Peek inside and see why
A special house that rests on Lake Erie frontage in Port Clinton, Ohio, has landed on the real estate market for $4.9 million. And trust when we say calling its interior intriguing is an understatement.
“Perched on a coveted lakefront lot, this three-bedroom masterpiece boasts expansive views of Lake Erie’s beauty, inviting you to immerse yourself in its serene ambiance,” the listing on Sotheby’s International Realty says.
“Inside, a seamless blend of opulence and comfort awaits, with floor-to-ceiling retractable windows framing the ever-changing panorama.”
Built in 2009, the three-bedroom, five-bathroom home has an industrial feel inside, but mixed with modern-day decor with bright splashes of color in random places (hello, purple theater).
“State-of-the-art amenities include whole-home automation and a top-tier sound system. Fully furnished with designer pieces and luxurious touches,” the listing notes. “Outside, a landscaped oasis features a terraced backyard, pristine decking, and a hot tub overlooking Put in Bay’s splendor.”
Other amenities, per the listing, include:
Deck
Hardwood floors
Fireplace
Garage
The interior sparked the interest of Zillow Gone Wild, a Facebook page that highlights unique homes for sale around the globe, and left commenters somewhat flummoxed.
“This house has me very confused. Like the designer kept changing their mind as they went section to section,” one person said.
“I love the textures! And elements used. Wood, rock, water, fire!” another commented.
“It seems like someone in the family got their way with everything EXCEPT the two purple rooms that were a concession to someone else,” someone noticed.
“Oh right on Lake Erie! This is fabulous but the purple would have to go,” one person said.
“The theater says grape fruity pebbles, but the rest says brutalist farm silo,” another noted.
“Is it rustic? Or industrial? Or modern? Or retro? A little bit of everything,” someone questioned.
The listing is held by Kim Redfern and Lisa Deuschle.
Port Clinton is about a 75-mile drive west of Cleveland.
