Powerball player wins big in Michigan. Where was the lucky ticket sold?
A Powerball ticket sold in Michigan won $1 million and narrowly missed the $20 million jackpot, lottery officials say.
The ticket matched five winning numbers but not the Powerball in the drawing Wednesday, June 12, the Michigan Lottery said.
Nobody won the grand prize, which rises to an estimated $34 million, with a cash value of $16 million, for the next drawing Saturday, June 15, according to the national Powerball site.
The winning numbers were 19, 30, 31, 61 and 62, with a Powerball of 21.
The $1 million ticket was sold at a supermarket in Grand Rapids.
More than 10,000 other Powerball tickets sold in Michigan also won prizes ranging from $4 to $200, the state lottery said.
