A New York shelter is putting a spotlight on one of its longest residents — a picturesque pup named Jaxon.

In a Facebook post on June 4, the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society highlighted the gray 5-year-old pitbull who has been at the shelter for over 321 days. The post included some of the happy boy’s best photos, and a playful resume highlighting some of his top-notch qualities.

“Please find my application for a forever home attached. I am a very good boy and have been waiting 321 days as of today for my forever (home,)” the post says.

“The people at the shelter have spoiled me, but I’m ready for a house of my own (and by my own, I mean I don’t want any pet siblings please!). I have included what I believe to be all of my bestest qualities, as well as some of my most flattering photos.”

In his resume, it says that he understands two languages — English and dog — and that his special skills include:

  • Lazy bones

  • Adaptable

  • Friendly

  • Foodie

  • Playful

  • Being cute

It also noted that Jaxon wishes to constantly be in his people’s presence, so it would be best if his owner is someone who is constantly home, his adoption profile says.

“I would also much prefer to be your one and only pet, but don’t worry, I have plenty of love and goofiness to give that you won’t even think twice about needing any more dogs,” the profile says. “I have this super endearing trait where I like to leasurely walk behind you, so that I always got your back!...If I sound like the gentleman for you, head on down today to meet me!”

He’s described as “a big guy with a big heart and plenty of love to go with it.”

Find out more about Jaxon on the organization’s website.

Mohawk is about a 65-mile drive east from Syracuse.
