Whataburger is bringing something new to its menu, along with a returning fan favorite.

The new boneless WhataWings debuted Thursday, Jan. 4, at Whataburger restaurants nationwide, the Texas-based burger chain said in a news release.

The meal is available for a limited time and comes with nine white-meat chicken bites tossed in one of four sauces:

  • Honey BBQ

  • Buffalo
  • Honey Butter

The wings are also available plain, according to Whataburger’s website.

Pricing varies by market.

“Our customers have a passion for Whataburger’s proprietary sauces,” Alexander Ivannikov, chief administrative officer for Whataburger, said in the release. “So, we’re excited to spread our wings around that enthusiasm ... “

It’s not the only thing joining the menu.

For a limited time, customers can get Whataburger’s popular Dr Pepper milkshake. The handspun treat is made with a vanilla shake base and Dr Pepper syrup, the restaurant said.

Both Dr Pepper and Whatburger are have roots in Texas. Dr Pepper was first created in Waco in 1885 and Whataburger’s first restaurant opened in Corpus Christi in 1950.
