Man killed, woman and child hurt in stabbing at Nebraska home, cops say. One arrested
A Nebraska man was arrested after officials say he stabbed three people, killing one.
The Aurora Police Department was called to a home for reports of a stabbing around 1:30 a.m. Dec. 2.
When officers arrived, they found a woman with “significant” injuries in the driveway of a neighbor’s house, according to a news release from the Nebraska State Patrol.
Police then saw a man, later identified as 29-year-old Caleb Arnett, holding a knife at the home the 911 call referenced, state patrol said.
McClatchy News was unable to find an attorney listed for Arnett.
When officers searched the home, they found a man and a juvenile who had also been stabbed, officials said.
The man, identified as Ross Nickolaus, 48, was pronounced dead at a hospital, according to officials.
The woman was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, and the juvenile was treated for minor injuries and released, officials said.
Arnett was taken to a hospital and treated for minor injuries before he was taken to jail. He is charged with first-degree murder and two counts of first-degree assault, according to officials.
Officials have not released information on a potential motive.
