‘I wanna live like Yoda.’ Home for sale in Washington is a ‘whimsical play structure’
A beach house where the Flintstone family or Yoda from the Star Wars franchise could live is for sale tucked into the woods in the Pacific Northwest.
A 590-square-foot, one-bedroom, one-bathroom home on Camano Island, Washington, has landed on the real estate market for $295,000. And it isn’t your basic, cookie cutter house or log cabin nestled among the trees, but something else entirely.
“Rare opportunity to own this whimsical rustic ‘play structure’ on a one acre lot backing up to Camano Island State Park’s network of trails and 6700 sq ft of waterfront,” the listing on Zillow.com says. “This magical example of SuperAdobe architecture has been likened to a cozy Hobbit hole or Yoda’s house.”
Inside is like a very chic cave with alabaster shaded walls and circular holes for windows that range in size. Sleek and steadiness rush through the kitchen area and flow into the mini rooms, including a bedroom that looks like it’s accessed by a padded tunnel of sorts.
And there’s even a bunk bed room that has a glass ceiling so you can watch nature as you fall asleep.
The exterior harbors an outhouse with a “new/unopened compost toilet,” the listing notes.
The adorable home was featured on Zillow Gone Wild, a popular Facebook and X real estate page that highlights unique houses for sale around the world, and many fell head over heels for the residence.
“I kind of... love this,” one person commented on Facebook.
“This one is my favorite so far, the comments, which is what I come here for, are the best yet,” another said.
“I love this house. Beautiful little beach,” someone observed.
“Modern Flintstones house,” one person compared.
“This looks like heaven to me!!” another gushed.
“I wanna live like Yoda,” someone said on X, the social media website formerly known as Twitter.
“If I buy a lottery ticket and win, this is my new summer home,” one person commented.
The listing is held by Eva Croasdale.
The house is currently listed as “pending inspection.”
Camano Island is about 65 miles north of Seattle.
