A dog rescued in Colorado wreaked some havoc in a deputy’s patrol vehicle before receiving a deserving nickname, officials said.

The pug was rescued from a stolen car in Boulder, according to a July 17 post on Facebook by the sheriff’s office.

While in the patrol vehicle, the “little guy” managed to “hit the emergency button” on the deputy’s computer, causing the radio to turn off and silence any status checks, authorities said.

The mischievous pug ended up getting “stuck in between the seats with his head down and butt up,” according to the Facebook post.

After stinking up the deputy’s vehicle, the dog was rightfully nicknamed “Pungent Pugs,” the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies said they found the dog’s owners for a reunion.

Boulder is about 30 miles northwest of Denver.
