A woman died in a road rage incident after ramming her vehicle into her boyfriend’s car, according to Texas police and media reports.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the fatal crash happened at about 11:15 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, in Baytown, a suburb of Houston.

Aaliayah Harrison was driving a Dodge Avenger when she struck a man’s Nissan Altima multiple times, the sheriff’s office said.

Harrison and the man driving the Altima were believed to be in a dating relationship, deputies told KPRC and KTRK.

As Harrison was ramming her vehicle into her boyfriend’s, she lost control and crashed into a ditch, authorities said. Harrison was partially ejected and was pinned under her car, according to the sheriff’s office.

Harrison, who KTRK and KPRC reported was 21, was pronounced dead at the scene. She was not wearing a seat belt, the sheriff said.

The other driver and a woman riding with him were not injured, according to the sheriff.

It’s unclear what led to the incident, but it reportedly stemmed from an argument between Harrison and her boyfriend.
