Watch 12-year-old belt out Lady Gaga song, flooring ‘America’s Got Talent’ judges
Donning loose jeans and a stark black tee, a young 12-year-old shyly admits in front of a massive crowd and four superstars that yes, he is somewhat nervous to be standing on a stage, ready to present his unique voice to the world.
And that’s just what Alfie Andrew pulled off with his cover of Lady Gaga’s award-winning “Hold My Hand” and managed to send chills down the spines of an entire auditorium on “America’s Got Talent” on June 13.
“Alfie, you can really sing,” judge Heidi Klum said. “You just nailed it.”
Judge Howie Mandel couldn’t help but crack a joke.
“The only thing standing between you and an amazing singing career is puberty,” the comedian added.
Even the normally grumpy Simon Cowell couldn’t help but be completely swayed by the youngster’s golden voice — and his sense of style.
“The people are going to remember you, and they’re going to root for you. You’re so cool,” Cowell noted. Before Andrew even had a chance to sing, Cowell had addressed his style, which was extremely similar to his own, and even joined the wunderkind on stage to prove that they match.
Andrew has his own YouTube page that showcases his amazing talent that he’s had since he was 18 months old, the profile says.
