Prepare yourself before looking at this Oklahoma home for sale. ‘Example of maximalism’
Fair warning, what will be displayed here is, well, a lot to take in.
A five-bedroom, five-bathroom house on the real estate market in Edmond, Oklahoma, for $1.5 million is lavishly furnished in a style that can only be summarized one way — “whoa.”
“Experience this spectacular luxury home in the exclusive Rose Creek gated community,” the listing on Zillow.com says. “Nestled in a private cul-de-sac with sweeping views of the golf course, this highly customized home is as impressive as it is grand.”
Every inch of the 4,884-square-foot home appears opulently decorated in all sorts of different colors, sparkly do-hickies, paintings that appear to be alive, LED lights and so much more.
Other features include:
Chef’s kitchen
Coffered ceilings
Formal dining room
Safe room
Curated chandeliers
Theater
Wet bar
Balcony
Outdoor dining area
Fire pit
Swimming pool
The home caught the eye of Zillow Gone Wild, a popular real estate Facebook page and Twitter account that showcases unique houses for sale.
And people were impressed.
“We call this style ‘perpetual panic attack,’” one person joked.
“Not my style but I’m impressed at the attention to detail and all the amazing touches and finishes! Really impressive,” another said.
“I’d buy it as is...fully furnished. I actually own a few pieces they have! Total Maximalism for the win!” someone pointed out.
“Sometimes, homes feel like performance art,” one person commented.
“I honestly love it. Not really my favorite colors but this is generally the right idea. No white! No gray! Lots to look at,” another tweeted.
“Best example of maximalism I’ve ever seen and I can’t lie, I love it,” someone said.
Edmond is about 15 miles north of Oklahoma City.
