Inmate fled work detail and went to Hardee’s. Now, Georgia police need help finding him
An inmate was spotted at a Hardee’s after walking off his work assignment, authorities in Georgia say. Now, he’s on the run.
Cedric Demitri Rogers, 45, left his work detail at the Hall County Animal Shelter around 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
Rogers, who deputies said was jailed for a probation violation, was later spotted near a Hardee’s restaurant in Gwinnett County — about 25 miles away. He’s now wanted on charges of escape and interference with an electronic monitoring device, authorities said.
Rogers is 6 foot, 1 inch tall with gray hair, brown eyes and weighs about 250 pounds, according to the sheriff’s office. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, a green long-sleeve undershirt and blue pants.

Hall County is about 45 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta.
