Beachgoers find 18-year-old woman who plunged 30 feet off cliff, CA officials say

Beachgoers found a woman after she fell 30 feet from a cliff near a California university, officials said.

Rescuers responded to a beach near the University of California, Santa Barbara, Manzanita Village Residence Hall in Isla Vista at 9:31 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2, a spokesperson for the Santa Barbara County Fire Department said in a tweet.

An 18-year-old woman had plunged 30 feet from a cliff to the beach below, fire officials said.

People walking on the beach found the woman, who was transported to a local hospital.

Fire officials did not disclose her condition.

Isla Vista is about 15 miles west of Santa Barbara.
