Blink-182 is back, but their ticket prices have fans saying, ‘What’s my wage again?’
Blink-182 has reunited for what will be one of the hottest tours of 2023, but fans are less than thrilled with the costly ticket prices.
The pre-sale for Blink-182’s 2023-24 world tour began on Wednesday, Oct. 12, with prices at some venues exceeding $300.
It’s quite the price to pay to see Blink-182 tour, but many fans remain eager to see one of the most popular punk rock bands of the 1990s and 2000s.
As of Friday, Oct. 15, ticket prices start at $314.50 at Blink-182’s July show in Nashville, and in Washington, D.C., prices begin at $347. Prices are even higher at some venues, including Los Angeles.
“These ticket prices are extortionate,” one person said on Twitter. “Working class people cannot afford to go to gigs anymore.”
Not all tickets have been released as of Friday. Ticket sales officially begin on Monday, Oct. 17, after the pre-sale is complete.
But what fans have seen so far has them feeling uneasy about the band’s tour.
“When I saw the Blink-182 ticket prices, I was like ‘Say it ain’t so, I will not go,” said one Twitter user, making a reference to a lyric in the band’s iconic song, “All the Small Things.”
“These Blink-182 ticket prices, Yikes,” another Twitter user said. “More like ‘What’s my Wage Again?’ Am I right?”
You may have other chances to see Blink-182 next year aside from their stadium tour. With a new album upcoming, there is optimism they will be on the festival circuit in 2023.
Blink-182 has already been announced as headliners for the ”When We We Young” festival in Las Vegas, as well as Lollapalooza’s festivals in South America.
