A pitbull mix with a quirky smile is pulling heartstrings on TikTok and is now aspiring to win the title of America’s Favorite Pet.

Anna is a rescued pup from Oklahoma City and was adopted by her owner, only identified as Ava, in February, KFOR reported. The pup was abandoned along with her siblings by a man who was unable to care for them, the news outlet said.

“I wasn’t intending on adopting a dog at the time, but I couldn’t get myself to leave without her that day,” Ava told KFOR.

After adopting her, Ava set up a TikTok account for the pup, “Annatherescue,” which now has over 160,000 followers and 10.3 million likes.

Ava films videos of Anna wearing her favorite sweater, flashing her goofy smiles and enjoying time with her family.

The little pup’s charm carried her into the quarter finals of America’s Favorite Pet contest, where anyone can vote for different animals online.

“Anna and her mom are committed to making people smile. Annas videos have changed the lives of so many people and she continues to bring light and joy to all her come her way! Anna is a true angel,” Ava wrote about the pup on the contest page.

Anna is also described as “a loving rescue with a heart of gold,” on the website.

Voting for the semi-finals ends at 7 p.m. PDT on Oct. 13, according to the contest, and the winner of the competition will win $10,000 and a feature in InTouch Magazine.

The winner will be announced Oct. 27.
