Passengers onboard a flight from California’s LAX to Dallas experienced bizarre sounds coming from the plane’s public announcement system.

One traveler describes the sound “between an orgasm and vomiting,” according to the New York Post.

Passenger Emerson Collins, who is an actor and producer, recorded the Sept. 6 fiasco and posted it to his Twitter and TikTok, where it has gained nearly a million views in the past few days.

Collins can be seen shaking his head as someone over the intercom makes ”ghoulish” sounds.

In the video, a flight attendant can be heard over the intercom saying, “Ladies and gentlemen, we realize there is an extremely irritating sound coming over the public announcement. The flight deck is trying to troubleshoot to try and turn it off, so please be patient with us.”

When asked about the experience, Collins told the Los Angeles Times, “It was either someone’s unfortunate food poisoning in the bathroom or, like, someone with an uncomfortable approach to personal satisfaction.”

The visceral sounds came from the intercom every two to three minutes after takeoff for the first hour and a half of the flight, according to the LA Times.

One user also went to Twitter to post about a similarly odd experience they had while on another flight this past month, saying “someone keeps hacking into the PA and making moaning and screaming sounds.”

Collins recorded the landing of the flight but no sounds could be heard over the PA system.

“To be honest, disappointed there wasn’t a landing….climax,” Collins wrote at the end of his video.
