A truck crashed into a California home during a road rage shootout that left one injured, authorities said.

Officers initially responded to a call about a traffic collision near East 7th Street and Park Avenue in Long Beach early Sunday, Aug. 28, the Long Beach Police Department said in a news release.

After finding two vehicles had been involved in the collision, officers also found shell casings that indicated a “shooting had occurred,” the department said. Officers determined that there had been “an exchange of gunfire” between two vehicles during a road rage incident.

The driver of one of the vehicles crashed into another vehicle that was not involved in the shooting, police said. That vehicle then crashed into an unoccupied home.

Footage from KTLA shows firefighters remove the pickup truck from the house, leaving a large hole in the wall.

Before officers arrived, according to police, the occupants of the two vehicles involved in the shooting left the scene.

Officers found three occupants of one vehicle involved in the road rage incident after responding to a call about a gunshot victim at a hospital, police said.

The woman had “non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to the upper and lower body,” police said. The other two individuals had “non-life-threatening injuries” from the collision.

Police identified the driver of the vehicle as a suspect in the shooting and arrested him. The 48-year-old Long Beach resident is facing charges of carrying a loaded firearm and driving with a suspended license. His bail was set at $60,000.

The driver of the other vehicle has not been found, police said.
