Priciest property for sale in Nevada is jaw-dropping $100 million Lake Tahoe estate

A 20,000-square-foot mansion that sits near the crystal-clear emerald waters of Lake Tahoe has hit the real estate market for a whopping $100 million, making it the most expensive estate for sale in Nevada, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The compound is nearly $60 million more than the second priciest home on the market, which is a $43.8 million residence on the North Shore of Tahoe in Incline Village.

And yes, the $100-million property comes with its own private marina — the only one in Lake Tahoe — with a floating dock and 12 boat slips.

The stunner of a home, shaded a custard yellow color on the outside, sits on four acres of prime lake frontage. Upon walking through the towering front doors, dual staircases greet with an overwhelming sense of elegance. Windows around frame, what looks like, still paintings of the prismatic lake, but are in fact the priceless views the compound has to offer.

Highlights of the spectacular property include:

  • 2,500-bottle wine room

  • Theater

  • Floating dock

  • Two guest cottages

  • Waterfall

  • Zen garden

The interior also features “handcrafted wood parquet floors, surfaces of onyx imported from Jordan, rare marble and fixtures from Spain,” the listing describes.

The current owners, Chuck and Cindy Bluth, founders of Bluth Development, poured $26 million into the house after purchasing it in the early 2000s, the Wall Street Journal reported.

“This estate is truly the jewel of the sierras,” the listing says.

The listing is held by Jean Merkelbach of Engel & Völkers.
