High school coach offers teen drugs for explicit Snapchat photos, California cops say

A high school basketball coach from Pasadena faces charges that he offered a 13-year-old girl drugs and alcohol in exchange for explicit photos and videos, California authorities reported.

Investigators are seeking other potential victims in the case, a Los Angeles County sheriff’s news release said.

Miles Alexander, 42, faces charges including lewd acts on a child under age 14 and using a minor for sex acts, sheriff’s officials said.

Alexander has reportedly been a basketball coach at San Gabriel Valley high schools and a high school basketball referee in the Los Angeles area, the release said.

In October and November, Alexander reached out to a 13-year-old West Hollywood girl on Snapchat and offered her drugs and alcohol in exchange for explicit photos and videos of herself, officials said.

An investigation began in March, leading to his arrest April 15, the release said.

During the investigation, “it became apparent the suspect was communicating with many individuals, mostly female,” on Snapchat, investigators said.
