A remarkable home that, according to the listing on Realtor.com, is “the epitome of modernism” and “extraordinary architecture in its purest form” has landed on the real estate market in Medina, Washington, for $21.5 million.

The four-bedroom, 6.5-bathroom estate resides on Medina’s “gold coast,” an area in Seattle’s Eastside suburbs. Designed by local architect Wendell Lovett, the home is filled with natural light that flows in through its many windows, and has a unique shape, the listing says.

None of the walls are at a 90-degree angle, everything’s canted,” listing agent Michele Schuler told Mansion Global. “It has an extremely interesting architectural look to it; it’s very cutting-edge.”

According to the listing, the main and guest wings are blanketed in natural light and both balance “private and shared space.”

“It’s really like a sculpture,” Schuler told Mansion Global. “I would characterize this as being a piece of art that happens to sit on the lake. [It’s also] one of the most recognizable homes because of its uniqueness.”

Lovett, who died in 2016, has a distinct style and his homes not only have appeared in numerous publications, but also have won several awards, the University of Washington’s College of Built Environments says.
