89,000 helmets sold only at Walmart recalled for not meeting federal safety standards

If a multi-purpose helmet doesn’t meet federal safety standards for one of its purposes, then what’s the purpose? That’s why Edison, New Jersey company Saker International recalled about 89,272 Dimensions Bluetooth Speaker Helmets in the United States and Canada.

The exact statement of the problem, in the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recall alert: “The recalled helmets do not comply with the U.S. CPSC federal safety standard for bicycle helmets, posing a risk of head injury in a fall.”

That hasn’t happened yet, the alert says. But Saker is asking people with the helmet, sold only at Walmart and Walmart.com and with item No. ACTGEAR-238BTS inside the helmet, to contact Sakar for a free replacement helmet. Do not return the helmets to Walmart.

For questions or returns, contact Sakar at 800-592-9541 anytime or by email at support@sakar.com.
