Body found handcuffed in hotel room. Now California police seek help solving mystery
The body of a 42-year-old man was discovered handcuffed in a Los Angeles-area hotel room, California police said.
The La Quinta man, who had “strangulation marks” on his neck, was found dead at 5:29 p.m. Thursday, March 10, by a security guard and manager at a Woodland Hills hotel, Los Angeles police said in a news release.
His legs had been tied and his arms handcuffed behind his back, police said. He had been living at the Ventura Boulevard hotel since July 2021.
Los Angeles Fire Department medics pronounced the man dead at the scene, police said. He was found lying on the floor. Authorities have not yet released his name.

Woodland Hills is a neighborhood west of downtown Los Angeles bordering the Santa Monica Mountains.
