Colossal Georgia estate with massive Chinese Garden, ballet studio lists for $2.5M
A ginormous mansion in Macon, Georgia that’s listed for $2.5 million is a sight to behold — both inside and out.
Stretching across almost 17,000 square feet, the mysterious beauty of the mansion’s interior seems to overwhelm its exterior, while the rest of the grounds are even more amazing.
“If you were to build the property that it is today, it would cost between $25 million to $35 million,” listing agent Regan Skinner told Realtor.com. “The home and grounds are really nothing like you have ever seen.”
The home, which sits on 15-plus acres, was originally built in 1946 and has been “added onto several times over the years” the listing on Realtor boasts. The inside of the 5-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom mansion has some grand features including:
Fireplaces in each bedroom
Chinese themed entertaining room
Terranium
Ballet studio
Ballroom
Modern kitchen
Wine cellar
On the grounds is a Chinese Garden, which the listing claims is the largest private Chinese garden in the country “according to a report filed with the zoning office,” the listing says.
There’s even a pretty substantially large chapel on the property.
The home has gathered attention from all over — Daily Mail even did a piece on the spectacular home.
A few years ago, there was a possibility that the mansion would become a private club, The Telegraph reported, though it looks like it remained a residence.
The Telegraph also mentioned that the property was one of the focal points of the final day of the Hay House’s annual Secret Garden Tour in 2012.
