Hikers find human skull — then other bones scattered through Arizona desert, cops say
Hikers stumbled across a human skull in a remote part of the Arizona desert, deputies said.
Deputies responded to the discovery on Sunday around 7:20 a.m. in Golden Valley, the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.
Detectives searched the area and found more human remains, including several bones.
The remains were sent to the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office where a cause of death will be determined.
The investigation is ongoing.
Golden Valley is a town in northwestern Arizona along State Route 68, near Kingman.
