After historic Emmys night, here’s when final season of ‘Schitt’s Creek’ hits Netflix

At long last, the final season of “Schitt’s Creek” is coming to Netflix.

The streaming service announced Monday the sixth season of Schitt’s Creek comes to Netflix on Oct. 7 in the United States and Canada.

The news comes after a historic day at Sunday’s Primetime Emmy Awards. The show swept the comedy categories, including Outstanding Comedy Series.

Eugene Levy and Catherine O’Hara took home awards for Best Lead Actor in a Comedy and Best Lead Actress in a Comedy, respectively. Daniel Levy and Annie Murphy won the Supporting Actor and Actress awards.

Schitt’s Creek is a Canadian series that rose in popularity in the United States over the past two years before it ended earlier this year.

It became the first comedy series to win all four main acting awards in one year, according to Hollywood blog Gold Derby.
