Naked man running on interstate is run over by passing car, Michigan cops say
A man is dead after he was hit by a car while running naked on a Michigan freeway, police say.
Michigan State Police received calls about a naked man running on eastbound I-94 in Taylor on Thursday night, WXYZ reported.
Not long after 9:30 p.m., witnesses called police to report that the naked man had been “hit and run over” by a passing car, Michigan Live reported.
Police arrived on the scene and tried to save the man before he was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead, The News-Herald reported.
The highway was closed for a portion of the evening for the investigation, WXYZ reported.
Officials have not released the man’s name, according to Michigan Live. The investigation is ongoing.
Taylor is roughly 15 miles southwest of Detroit.
