Driver runs over graves at a veterans cemetery in Texas to avoid traffic, video shows

A woman was caught on video driving over the graves of veterans at a cemetery in Texas to avoid traffic.

The video was captured at the Houston National Cemetery on Sunday during a World War II flyover event to honor Victory in Europe Day, according to Storyful.

The footage posted by Jeremiah Johnston on Twitter shows a red SUV drive slowly over gravestones in a grassy area near the road.

“What the hell?” Johnston says in the video. “This is so disrespectful.”

Another video posted on Twitter shows the woman driving past other cars in a traffic jam.

“She went over dozens of graves by the time she finished,” Amanda Hill, the woman who posted the video, told KTRK.

The Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office did not have a report on the incident, the news outlet reported.
