Want a free Egg McMuffin? Here’s how to get one from McDonald’s on Monday

Ah, the Egg McMuffin.

Since McDonald’s rolled it out in 1971, the Egg McMuffin has kicked off innumerable road trips and work days as a complete handheld breakfast: egg, cheese and Canadian bacon loaded on an English muffin.

To celebrate nearly 50 years of the Egg McMuffin — the first fast food breakfast sandwich of its kind — McDonald’s is launching National Egg McMuffin Day and giving away the iconic sandwich, according to a news release.

How do you get your hands on one?

Just download the McDonald’s app to redeem a free Egg McMuffin on Monday between 6 and 10:30 a.m. at participating restaurants.

The offer isn’t available for delivery orders and is limited to one per customer, the release said.
