Thief swipes 126 Lego figures from bookstore, then comes back for more, MO cops say
Stealing 10 dozen Lego mini-figurines apparently wasn’t enough for one woman, who is accused of taking items from a Missouri Barnes & Noble for a second time last week, authorities said.
The woman is accused of stealing 142 Lego mini-figurines from the Barnes & Noble store in Chesterfield, Missouri., police said in a news release..
On Feb. 15, the woman took 126 of the Lego mini-figurines, police said. The store only had 16 when she returned two days later, but she went ahead and took those as well, according to the news release.
Police said the 142 mini-figurines are valued at more than $560.
“Now we’re not sure yet what her intentions are with the 142 Lego mini-figurines, but we do know it probably wouldn’t be a good idea to walk around barefoot inside her residence,” Chesterfield police said.
Photos of the suspect were caught on surveillance cameras, police said. Anyone who might recognized the woman is encouraged to contact Chesterfield police at 636-537-3000.
