‘Mr. Black Friday’ has already set up camp in front of an Arizona electronics store
A suburban Phoenix man is getting ready for the biggest shopping day of the year two weeks early.
KPHO-TV reports that Jarvis Johnson has set up camp in front of a Best Buy electronics store in Avondale in preparation for Black Friday.
Johnson, who calls himself "Mr. Black Friday," has camped outside the store near 99th Avenue and McDowell Road every November since 2006.
He has traditionally started waiting about a week before.
But this time, Johnson planted himself there Thursday night.
Having caught the attention of Best Buy last year, he is featured in a company ad this month.
In addition, he actually has sponsors who are providing him with canopies for his tent, couches, food and a microwave.
