Joe Everson is a serious multitasker.

While he sang the national anthem before the Toledo (Ohio) Walleye hockey game on Saturday, he also painted a mural — right there on the ice.

He started with a canvas already painted blue and black. As he sang, he added more colors, more strokes, as the crowd watched intently.

According to WYFF in Greenville, South Carolina, Everson is an artist who moved from Michigan to Greenville a few years ago.

He sang the national anthem while painting before a Greenville Swamp Rabbits hockey game in March, the TV station said.

But his performance on Saturday grabbed national attention.

The mural looked like an abstract until as he rounded the corner to “and the home of the brave,” he flipped the canvas upside down and revealed what he’d been painting all along.

We won’t spoil it.

Watch it below in a tweet from Toledo sports anchorman Jordan Strack that’s been retweeted nearly 35,000 times since Saturday.
