Headbanger Lane Pittman abolished the rules made of stone that say you really shouldn’t stand outside during the middle of a hurricane. Now he’s an internet star.
During Hurricane Matthew last week, Pittman, who lives in Jacksonville Beach, Fla., stood in the middle of a downpour — shirtless — whippin’ his long red hair while holding onto a huge American flag in a driving wind.
He set his stunt to “Raining Blood” by Slayer and posted the eight-second clip to his Facebook page, where it has been viewed more than 23 million times since Friday afternoon. The YouTube clip has been viewed nearly 2 million times.
“Had a request for some hair action during the ’cane. I granted it. #turnt #merica Slayer Emma Watson #hmu #rainingblood #orjustsimplyraining #redhaireverywhere #volumeup add me on snapchat @Lpisbeastly,” he wrote.

Eyes of the insane? Not this guy.
Pittman, a substitute teacher, pizza place cashier and a guitar player known as Ginger Life, has attracted a social media following because of his impressive hair, according to Spin.
He is a flag bearer for the Jax Pax team of the Jacksonville Jaguars, a promotional and fan engagement squad that performs on and off the field on game days, reports CBS 47 in Jacksonville.
He made news last summer when he got arrested for playing the national anthem on an electric guitar on a public sidewalk in Neptune Beach on the Fourth of July, according to the TV station.
Police later dropped the charges and posted a fan boy message on its Facebook page, noting that many people described Pittman “as a ‘Great Dude.’
“We don’t dispute that. Moving forward we wish Mr. Pittman the best of luck with his entertainment career.”
People who have watched the video have a great idea for his next gig.
